Injection Mould Setter - NIGHTSLocation: Birmingham Night Shift Technician.We are currently recruiting for a client that specialises in the manufacture of plastic components using advanced Moulding techniques, working with and to standard work instructions and practices. This role will be on permanent night shifts, with the exception of when covering early shifts. Candidates are required to occasionally cover other shifts.Pay inclusive of shift allowance £19.50 Hours:10.00pm to 6.00am Monday to Friday.Role Responsibilities  – Injection Mould Setter   To take responsibility for the setting and conditioning of injection mould tools in order to satisfy production orders.To take responsibility for night shift staff, managing absence and any HR issues should they arise.Attending to alarms and faults, employing permanent corrective actions.Ensuring the quality of production, controlling processing parameters against industry standards and in line with the costed requirements of the product.Maintain accurate records of all work undertaken for traceability.To supervise staff on shift to manage break cover, job allocation should the plan change.To be responsible for preparation of auxiliary equipment, jigs, fixtures, and assembly machines to ensure production requirements are met.Carry out quality checks in line with company standards.To utilise and update the electronic production monitoring system (Blackbird).To be able to identify quality problems and carry out first line trouble shooting techniques.Handling material safely and accurately to/ from store locations and machine side.Ensure stock is accurately counted and booked when moved to and from locations using company systems.To operate safely the forklift truck (*only when fully licenced)Additional responsibilities and requirements as and when necessary.Attend all training programmes required by the company. This will be to enable our client’s production to perform at or better than budgeted operation availability.You will be expected to establish robust reliability improvement programs, audit effectiveness and adherence to schedules planned preventative and condition based maintenance plans and identify areas for improvement.
