Job Title: Sales Engineer

Location: Remote – Covering the North of England

Pay Range/details: £50,000 to £60,000 per annum + 10% Annual Bonus

Contract Type: Permanent

The Sales Engineer will be a remote based position, covering the North of England, Scotland and covering the whole of Ireland. The right candidate will be responsible for selling the complete range of Lifecycle Service products, working with sales teams, and managing /developing/directing the 2S Service team on a local and national basis when required. You will also be able to maintain and expand existing accounts whilst identifying and developing new business/promotions utilising the marketing department.

 

Key Responsibilities – Sales Engineer

  • Develop local marketing plans and strategies for the ongoing penetration of new and existing accounts.
  • Liaise with sales and service staff including Service Contracts Manager & Administrator.
  • To develop, mentor, train, facilitate and guide 2S staff /internal sales staff / APS and others in gaining, retaining service business and other such areas.
  • Ensure prompt and satisfactory response and resolution to all sales and customer queries and complaints.
  • Ensure that the customer service marketing database is kept up to date with performance data, competitive data and market trends.
  • To monitor contract profitability, both individually, by product and product area.
  • To develop and maintain Company and product knowledge sufficient to professionally advise customers and prospects in their decisions regarding their service needs.
  • Develop and introduce service products which contribute to the commercial success of the Company.
  • Always act in accordance with the Company’s ethical guidelines and quality systems.
  • Other such responsibilities may, from time to time, be allocated by the Company.

 

Qualifications & Requirements – Sales Engineer

  • Proven experience in service sales within the printing industry, with a strong desire to succeed in a competitive sales environment.
  • Strong customer service attitude and a demonstrated ability to work effectively within a close-knit team.
  • Excellent individual initiative, with a proactive approach to achieving and maintaining sales targets.
  • Previous experience in managing, mentoring, and training staff in a service-focused environment.
  • Ability to develop and execute local marketing plans and strategies.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to handle customer queries and complaints effectively.
  • Ability to stay up to date with market trends, competitive data, and product knowledge.
  • Flexibility to travel and stay overnight as required by the business.
  • High level of professionalism and adherence to company ethical standards and quality guidelines.
