Job Title - Project Engineer (Plastics)

Salary - £35K + Benefits

Location - West Midlands

Hours - 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday

Omega is representing a forward-thinking organization specializing in delivering large-scale engineering projects within the plastics industry. We are seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to lead complex installations, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to mentor and develop technical teams while managing projects.

Key Responsibilities – Project Engineer

  • Oversee project installations, coordinating resources to meet time, budget, and quality goals.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and embed best practices across the project and installation teams.
  • Deliver structured feedback to Sales and Technical teams to refine project execution.
  • Identify and report on cost-saving initiatives, collaborating closely with Purchasing teams.
  • Develop clear KPIs and reporting metrics for project handovers.
  • Mentor service engineers, enhancing the technical and operational performance of the team.
  • Support Health & Safety compliance initiatives during installations.

Qualifications & Experience – Project Engineer  

  • Recognized qualification in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Project management certification (PRINCE2, APM, or equivalent) or proven experience with a willingness to train further.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing principles.
  • Strong leadership, performance monitoring, and technical project delivery skills.
  • Clean driving license and willingness to travel as required.
