Project Engineer

Nottingham – UK wide travel

Working with a well-established fire & security company who are on the look out for an experienced Project Engineer to lead onsite installations for fire suppression and detection systems.

You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring technical quality, health & safety compliance, and daily coordination of installation teams on-site.

Key Responsibilities – Project Engineer

  • Supervise and guide on-site installation teams, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Coordinate day-to-day site activities, materials, and tools
  • Conduct audits, support on-the-job training, and mentor junior engineers
  • Liaise with Project Managers, clients, and contractors
  • Manage site logistics and stock
  • Lead technical handovers and provide commissioning support

Qualifications & Experience – Project Engineer

  • 3+ years' experience in fire protection systems
  • Proven on-site supervision experience
  • Solid knowledge of health & safety enforcement
  • Strong skills in technical coordination and problem-solving
  • Confident liaising with clients and contractors
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Fire Protection disciplines
  • CSCS or ECS Card
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Understanding of technical drawings and installation specifications
  • IOSH Managing Safely (desirable)
  • SSSTS, IPAF, or manufacturer training (a plus)

On Offer – Project Engineer

  •        £40K - £45K (DOE)
  • Travel and working away from home (Over 1.5hrs) Monday to Friday
  • Company Vehicle is provided
  • Full training will be provided
  • Accommodation and overnight allowance paid
